Youth Services
The purpose of the Youth Program is to help youth prepare to meet the challenges of adulthood and the needs of the 21st century workforce.
Youth Services in Region 12 are all about OPPORTUNITY.
Opportunity for youth to:
Find out who they are and where they fit in.
- Participate in short term work assignments in order to develop good work habits and workplace skills; explore career pathways; learn the requirements for successful long-term employability.
- Participate in community and service learning projects, citizenship training, organizational and teamwork training.
- Guidance and counseling in finding a focus for talents and addressing challenges to success in school or work.
Learn Job Skills.
- Participate in work experience assignments, on the job training, or an educational program at an accredited institution
- Participate in short-term training such as keyboarding and work-readiness training
- Participate in activities to improve math and reading skills
Support Services.
- Help to cover the cost of child care, transportation or other expenses to enable you to take part in the Youth Services activities is available depending on your individual need.
- Receive cash bonuses for achievements.
- Receive help as you move toward your goals even after completing the program.

Eligibility for services.
- Under the age of 22
- Resident of Region 12
- Citizen or lawfully admitted
- Registered with Selective Service
- Meet income guidelines
- Experiencing other challenges to your educational and employment goals
